Not much here to report. We finally got some cold weather and some snow. The kids had a 2 hour delay today for the first time this school year. Which was also good for me.....I got to sleep in! They told us the night before. We are just hanging out at home trying to keep warm. We've had the wood burning stove going and the kids both got electric blankets for christmas from Aunt Martha.
Both of the kids brought home report cards today. They both are doing well, Praise the Lord. Cody even made high honor roll this semester! we are so proud of him. We weren't sure how he was going to do this year but it's been really good so far. He has a big science fair coming up. He was reluctant to sign up for it but I think he'll really enjoy it.

While cleaning out the closet in the kitchen after the holidays I realized we had all the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies. Boredom set in tonight and so here we go. Tom is just excited because Lisa finally made a photo!

Look at the finished product. Don't they look yummy? Anyone want to hire a 6 year old to do your baking? All Dad sees is that he needs a haircut! Maybe I should have made him wear a hairnet! Not to worry though they tasted great all the same (Dad thought so too)

Tonight we got one last look at our christmas tree. Although you couldn't actually pick out which one was ours while it was a blaze. Every year our little borough has a tree burning around the second week of January. They start collecting residents christmas trees the end of december and pile them up and then have the annual tree burning ceremony. So here we are enjoying the fun. Bye-Bye christmas! See you again next year!
