May 23rd will be our 20 year wedding anniversary. So Tom and I spent a weekend "alone". We just went to the mountains but it was really nice to get away. They had some neat shops. Here we went to the Old General Store. It really was like an old general store.
This is a place where they make furniture out of logs. The things they made where so pretty. Tom was loving it and couldn't wait to get home and try some out. I found him down in the basement a couple of hours after we got home stripping the bark, and sanding a log from our wood pile!

our dining room chair replacement seats he made are still going strong. at least that project didn't require any bark stripping. so what did he end up making?
